In the Name of Noé

The texts and illustrations in En el nombre de Noé (In the Name of Noé) arise as the result of a friendly occurrence: three letters—because they are the same—bring two friends together, Noé Jitrik and Luis Felipe Noé, and also differentiate them, because in one case they are a name and in the other, a surname. Realizing one thing and the other led them on an adventure: Noé (one) would write—and wrote—a text imagining what the name brings to mind for him and Noé (two) would paint—and painted—a series of paintings on his part, imagining what that text suggested to him. The result is a book and an exhibition bringing these two imaginations together which can be read and seen, also making evident both the original idea and a delirious freedom of composition.
